Guía de tamaños de mapas
En general, los mapas se ven mejor en tamaños más grandes, particularmente los mapas con muchos detalles. Directrices generales de tamaño
Generalmente, el tamaño que ves en la tienda es exactamente preciso.
Entonces, por ejemplo, si compras un mapa de 18x24 pulgadas, debes comprar un marco que 'se ajuste a la obra de arte' que mide 18x24 pulgadas. Si pides un mapa de 60x90cm, debes comprar un marco que 'se ajuste a la obra de arte' que mide 60x90cm.
Si ves un mapa que tiene un tamaño inusual, como 24x11 pulgadas (o 61x29cm), te recomiendo encarecidamente que esperes a que el mapa llegue antes de hacer o pedir un marco en línea. Estos mapas pueden variar en tamaño por unos pocos milímetros, ¡y es muy frustrante si no encajan en tu marco!
Si necesitas un mapa que tenga un tamaño exacto en centímetros o pulgadas, por favor contáctame. Para mapas más grandes de más de 50in/125cm puedo personalizar el tamaño sin cargo.
Mapas grandes
Si estás enmarcando el mapa tú mismo, por favor ordena el mapa y espera a que llegue. Luego mide el mapa y pide un marco que se ajuste.
Si llevas tu mapa a un enmarcador local, ellos medirán el mapa por ti y luego harán el marco a medida.
Para mapas más grandes, asegúrate de pegarlos correctamente o se volverán ondulados y burbujeantes después de un corto tiempo. Alternativamente, estaríamos encantados de enmarcarlo por ti!
Mensaje de regalo y acabado personalizado
Si deseas agregar un mensaje de regalo, o un acabado (rompecabezas, tablero de aluminio, etc.) que no esté disponible aquí, por favor solicítalo en la "nota del pedido" cuando realices la compra.

Having returned to the Czech lands after years abroad, he applied his command of graceful line and ornamental design to subjects with a distinctly regional character. A closer look
The face forms the still centre of the design. Mucha models it with restrained tonal shifts rather than forceful shadow, allowing the eyes and delicately outlined features to carry the expression. The sitter’s direct gaze introduces an unusual immediacy: although her costume is ceremonial and highly patterned, she does not feel remote or reduced to a decorative type. The softly articulated complexion and controlled contour retain a sense of living presence.
Above and around her face, the headdress expands into a dense arrangement of floral and geometric motifs. Its blue passages provide the composition’s strongest colour, tempered by earthy browns and quieter neutral details. Mucha’s line moves between functions here: it describes the construction of the headwear, separates areas of pattern and creates a rhythmic ornamental frame. Small embellishments around the neckline continue this patterning downwards, while gentle shading in the clothing suggests folded fabric without disturbing the image’s essentially graphic character.
The unadorned background is equally important. Its broad pale field gives the intricacy of the costume room to register and strengthens the asymmetrical placement of the figure. Rather than enclosing the sitter within one of the elaborate botanical frameworks associated with Mucha’s commercial posters, the composition relies on open space and a faint border to hold the portrait together. A small inscription appears at the lower right, discreet beside the more assertive detail of the costume.

Mucha’s international reputation had been established in the 1890s through theatrical and advertising posters distinguished by flowing contours, stylised hair, botanical ornament and carefully integrated lettering. Mi marco estándar es un marco de madera de fresno negro estilo galería. Es simple y tiene un aspecto bastante moderno. Mi marco estándar tiene alrededor de 20 mm (0.8 in) de ancho.
Utilizo acrílico super claro (perspex/acrylite) para el vidrio del marco. Es más ligero y seguro que el vidrio, y se ve mejor, ya que la reflectividad es menor.
Seis colores de marco estándar están disponibles de forma gratuita (negro, marrón oscuro, gris oscuro, roble, blanco y oro antiguo).El enmarcado y montaje/matizado personalizado está disponible si buscas algo diferente.
La mayoría de los mapas, arte e ilustraciones también están disponibles como un lienzo enmarcado. Nuestro estudio de Londres trabaja a partir de material de origen cuidadosamente seleccionado de museos, bibliotecas, archivos y colecciones privadas. Una vez restaurada, la obra maestra se prepara para el tamaño y el acabado que haya elegido. Después, su pieza se imprime y, cuando se selecciona, se enmarca cerca de su destino de entrega.
